Do you have a phone where I can reach you around the clock
if I need help while I travel?
Of course, WOW Argentina is on call 24/7 for our clients. Our work does not finish when your reservations are confirmed. On the contrary, we stay connected with you throughout your trip until the moment you fly back home. We give all our clients our cell phone numbers which are available around the clock for urgent assistance.
Are you a registered travel company?
Yes. We hold a travel agency’s license issued by the Argentine Board of Tourism. Our registration number is 12235 and this entitles us to provide all types of travel services.
I have seen many people recommended on travel forums who seem to be freelance travel agents. Why should I work with a registered travel company instead?
In Argentina freelance travel agents are forbidden by law. Only properly registered travel companies are allowed to provide travel services. Please beware of the difference between a tour guide and a travel agent. A tour guide can only do tours, but he/she is not authorized to make any type of travel arrangements unless he/she works for a travel company.
Using a freelance agent, a tour guide or a non licensed company puts you at a serious risk as you are simply working with a non existing business which gives you no legal protection whatsoever.
How can I find out if I am working with a registered travel agency?
Every individual or company must have a license number which begins with the letters LEG (it is the abbreviation of “legajo” = file or license in Spanish). Such license number must be included in all written communication sent by the travel agency. Also, the name used by the company must be exactly the same as the one that appears on the National Board of Tourism’s website. You can check this by following these easy steps:
1) Go to www.turismo.gov.ar
2) Click on ESPAÑOL (the English version is still not available)
3) In the menu that appears on the upper part, click on AGENCIAS DE VIAJES which appears on the upper side.
4) Then click on CONSULTAS-NORMATIVA.
5) Click on CONSULTAS SOBRE AGENCIAS DE VIAJES AUTORIZADAS.
6) Now you can choose to search a travel agency by its authorized name or its license number.
If you want to search by the authorized name, click on AGENCIAS POR DESIGNACION COMERCIAL. Once there you must write the agency’s name or the first letters and click on VER.
If you want to check by license number, please click on AGENCIAS POR LEGAJO ESPECIFICO. There you will have to write the license number and click on VER.
By choosing any of these two procedures, if the agency exists, you will see its file that includes the name, address and phone number.
If an individual/company uses a certain business name, but when you check this name on www.turismo.gov.ar it does not match the license number that such agency claims to have, it is likely that there is something wrong/illegal about this agency.
How long does it take to have my trip planned?
It mainly depends on how many destinations you wish to explore, it could take from a few days to several weeks.
Can you book my international flights to/from South America?
As a licensed travel company we can book all kinds of flights however, most of our clients prefer to buy the international flights on their own. This is because many travelers use miles to buy the tickets and also most airlines usually offer better deals on international flights when tickets are purchased in the country where the trip is originated.
In case you prefer that we provide you with the long haul flights we can certainly do so.
How much on average does a trip cost?
The price of a trip depends on many factors such as the time of the year you travel, the destinations you visit, the hotels you stay at and the excursions you choose to engage in.
We specialize in high quality travel arrangements, therefore we only work with the best 4 and 5 star hotels and most of the services we offer are private. We guarantee an excellent price-quality relationship but we are not the cheapest option in the market and we don’t intend to be so either.
Can I contact you once I arrive in Argentina to ask you book some trips for me?
Unfortunately, no. In order to keep up with the quality standards of the company and guarantee the most personal service possible, we only take itinerary and reservation requests prior to your arrival in the country. This means that by the time your trip begins, all the arrangements must have been confirmed and secured.
Do you charge a fee to plan my trip?
Yes, we charge a Travel Planning and Consultancy fee to design a tailor made itinerary or study the itinerary you may already have.
How does your fee structure work?
The Travel Planning and Consultancy fee is a flat fee that we charge for our professional work. After payment for the fee has been made, and once you have shared with us as much information as possible about the plans, expectations and interests that you and your travel companions have, we design a tailor made itinerary for you. After you have reviewed it, we will make the necessary adjustments, if any, and will then provide you with a quotation. Only once you have approved both the itinerary and the quotation, we will go ahead with the reservations.
Can you give me a price breakdown?
We have confidential contracts with our suppliers therefore we are unable to give an itemized costing breakdown. Our prices are given as packages, per destination.
Do you take credit cards?
We take American Express and Visa. We also take wire transfers as partial payment depending on the total cost of the trip.

Is it true that you will design an itinerary that is unique and for me only?
Yes, at WOW Argentina we do not offer standardized, sample itineraries as we do not believe in the “one size fits all” approach. We will create an itinerary that is just for you, based on your own preferences and needs. Doing such an artisanal work gives you an idea of how much time we spend on designing each of our clients’ trips.
